The organization was incorporated September 30, 1985 by 5 very successful business people
in the City of Winnipeg. Each individual had made a very good lifestyle for themselves and being
community minded thought it was time to put something back into the community from which they
received that lifestyle. Collectively they approached the provincial government at that time and
requested support in the form of:
- A small grant that could be used to promote the organization and to tell people this is how
they would volunteer their time.
- An Executive Director who could organize and coordinate the operation in a business like fashion. The volunteers did not have time due to running their own businesses.
The government agreed and the organization has been successfully running ever
since. The Network has 20 members at the present time and has helped approximately 150 -225 businesses
per year for each of the last 5 years. The Network has 2 services Workshops and Counselling and each year
produces an Annual Report. The Network is always interested in your comments.
